Arrival in Delhi Étape 1/10
Arrival in Delhi
You’re met at the airport and transferred to a hotel in central Delhi. You can spend the rest of the day as you wish.
Delhi - Leh Étape 2/10
Delhi - Leh
On the way to Delhi airport, heading for Leh, the capital of Ladakh. An introductory ride for the fittest. For the others, a rest to acclimatise to the altitude before setting off on this fabulous India motorcycle tour, in the Himalayas.
Leh - Lamayuru Étape 3/10 87 miles
Leh - Lamayuru
Today is the big day! We start from Leh in the morning, leaving for the Indus gorges in the west. We reach Lamayuru monastery perched atop a cliff. It is perhaps one of the most prestigious and oldest Tibetan gompas in Ladakh, where around 200 monks and lamas live.

We take our bikes on several roads to Leh. On this stretch of the tour, we can admire and visit several remarkable monasteries, such as Likir or the amazing Phyang monastery with its 900-year-old museum. We return to Leh, where we can spend the rest of the day at our leisure. We recommend taking a walk through the little market streets.
Leh - Pangong Étape 5/10 99 miles
Leh - Pangong
We leave early and head east towards the Chinese border. After visiting Thikshey monastery, we start driving up to Chang La pass at 5,300 m (17388.45 ft.). We then ride down on the other side to the 80-mile long Pangong Lake, a natural boundary between India and China. The last 25 miles are a fairy tale, especially when the late afternoon sun gets involved
Pangong - Hunder Étape 6/10 112 miles
Pangong - Hunder
We ride again on the beautiful route of yesterday for over 25 miles, this time with the morning sun. We then descend along the beautiful Tangtse Stream, which flows into the Shyok River and its beautiful mineral valley. We stop for a picnic on the riverbank, then we keep riding towards Hunder along winding mountain roads with the imposing Karakoram mountain range on the horizon.
Hunder - Leh Étape 7/10 78 miles
Hunder - Leh
Our last riding day! We head south towards Khardung La, the highest road in the world (5370m / 17388 ft.) dominating the Indus valley and the city of Leh. We enjoy the view over Leh and start our descent down the beautiful zigzag roads offering incredible views for the last 25 miles.
Leh Étape 8/10
Leh
A free day in Leh (buffer day!). We can visit the Shanti Stupa, the Royal Palace or the Tsemo Gompa above, or purchase some Ladakhi souvenirs.
Leh - Delhi Étape 9/10
Leh - Delhi
You have an early morning transfer to Leh airport for a domestic flight to Delhi. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon in Delhi.
Delhi - Delhi airport Étape 10/10
Delhi - Delhi airport
Free day in Delhi. You can use your hotel room until 10am. Transfer to the airport based on your flight-departure time.

This trip includes passes over 4,500 meters, often far from immediate medical assistance. Primary aid in reaching the nearest medical center is provided by our support vehicle, as helicopters and ambulances are rarely available. Limited phone coverage and restrictions on satellite phones can make contacting emergency services challenging. Additionally, as with any mountain route, road quality and difficulty are heavily influenced by current and prior weather conditions
