See all reviewsIn the United Kingdom, we run one thing: off-road motorcycle training in Wales. Two days at Dolgellau, on the southern edge of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park, to learn the fundamentals of riding off tarmac on a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, with one instructor for every three riders.
Off-Road Training in Wales: 3 days and 2 nights in a lodge on site, from £690 (€775) per rider, with the motorcycle, fuel and off-road gear included.
You arrive at the lodge from 3 pm on the first day, with time for dinner in the village of Dolgellau. The second day is spent on the training ground: bike control, picking the bike up, balance, body position, brake and clutch control, riding on loose and wet surfaces, and recovering on a hill.
On the third morning you go over the lessons, then head out on the local trails to put them into practice, and finish with a debrief back at the lodge.
The course is rated Accessible. It suits riders who have never ridden off-road as well as those who want to brush up their skills before an adventure tour. You need a full motorcycle licence, but no off-road experience. The group is limited to 6 riders, with one instructor for every three.
At the end of the two days, our team tells you which of our tours suits your level: our tours in Cappadocia and Sardinia include long sections of track.
The course runs from spring to autumn: in 2026 it ran in March, July and September. The 2027 dates will be published soon; contact us and we will let you know as soon as they open.
Getting to Dolgellau is up to you, as transfers are not included. The nearest airport is Liverpool.

Looking for a guided motorcycle tour rather than a course? Our motorcycle tours in Europe take you to Turkey, Greece, Albania and Sardinia, a short flight from the UK, and our guided motorcycle tours go further, to Asia, Africa and South America, with prices in pounds.
