Our motorbike road trips in Morocco start from £1,790 per rider, up to £2,190 per rider depending on the duration and itinerary chosen, for group departures (up to 12 participants). The passenger rate (for non-riders) is generally lower; for example, £1,490 on certain 7-day tours.

It is also possible to organise a private or bespoke trip: the price is then calculated based on the number of days, the standard of accommodation required and the number of participants.

What’s included in the price:

• Hire of a Royal Enfield motorbike and spare parts
• Petrol, parking fees and any tolls

• Airport–hotel–airport transfers as per the itinerary
• Supervision by an English-speaking motorbike guide
• A local team (mechanic, support vehicle driver) with accommodation and meals included for the team
• A support vehicle for transporting equipment and luggage
• Accommodation in a twin or double room (a supplement may apply for a single room)
• Full board (all meals, water, tea and coffee included)
• Visits as per the itinerary
• 24/7 telephone assistance from France in the event of an emergency

It’s difficult to pick ‘the most beautiful’ tour, as each of our itineraries reveals a different side of Morocco. The best choice depends mainly on your profile, your fitness level and the atmosphere you’re looking for. Here’s an overview of our tours to help you find the one that suits you best:

• The Wonders of the Atlas : Our classic tour. Setting off from Marrakech, this tour takes in a succession of high mountain passes, rural villages and back roads off the beaten track. Ideal for a comprehensive and varied first taste of Morocco by motorbike.
• From the Southern Atlas to the Dunes of the Sahara : The tour for desert lovers. Setting off from Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), it crosses the Fint palm grove and mineral-rich landscapes heading south. An itinerary that combines easy-to-ride tracks and remote regions, offering a true immersion in the heart of Morocco.
• At the gateway to the desert : A more original route exploring western Morocco: the legendary Tizi-n-Test Pass, the 300-million-year-old Anti-Atlas mountain range, and the secret town of Tafraoute. Perfect for those who want to venture off the beaten track.
• Take on the Moroccan Atlas : A more intense route, designed for motorcyclists seeking a challenge: daily stages of 5 to 6 hours’ riding, Berber villages and the famous Tichka Pass. The most physically demanding, but also the most immersive in terms of riding.
• The Argan Tree Route : A loop starting from Agadir, taking in the Atlantic Ocean, hidden palm groves and the coastal desert. Accessible and varied, this is the recommended route for a first motorbike road trip in Morocco, alternating between small roads and easy tracks.

For a first motorbike trip in Morocco, however, we recommend choosing a tour classified as ‘Accessible’, which favours secondary tarmac roads with only a few sections of rideable off-road terrain at low speed. Three tours fit this profile, each with its own character:

The Argan Tree Route: the gentlest option for beginners

Starting from Agadir, this loop alternates between small roads and easy tracks between the Atlantic Ocean and the Anti-Atlas. It is the tour specifically designed as an ideal introduction for a first motorbike road trip in Morocco.

At the gateway to the desert: for those who prioritise a comfortable ride

A route that’s almost entirely tarmac, with no technical difficulties, allowing you to focus on the scenery (Tizi-n-Test Pass, Anti-Atlas, Essaouira)

The Wonders of the Atlas: for a comprehensive overview of the country

Our most iconic and highly rated route (432 reviews, rated 4.8/5). It remains accessible whilst offering a greater variety of landscapes: high mountains, Berber villages, the Dades Gorges.

If you’re a keen but inexperienced motorcyclist, or if you’re unsure about your ability before setting off, Vintage Rides also offers preparatory courses at the Academy before departure.

Vintage Rides has opted for the Royal Enfield, a mid-sized motorbike that is simple, robust and endearing, suited to both road riding and off-road sections. It is this versatility that allows us to offer a variety of itineraries, from the most accessible to the most challenging, whilst ensuring a consistent riding experience for the group.

In Morocco, we manage three dedicated fleets totalling 30 motorbikes:

Two fleets of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 (20 motorbikes), the benchmark in adventure motorbikes, which account for 67 per cent of our fleet

One fleet of Royal Enfield 350 (10 motorbikes), more suited to road riding, making up the remaining 33 per cent.

This diversity allows us to allocate the model best suited to each tour’s profile (distance, proportion of off-road sections, required skill level) and to ensure reliable availability even during peak season.

You will be informed of the model used on your tour at the time of booking. In all cases, your motorbike is serviced by our local mechanic before departure and throughout the trip, and a stock of spare parts travels with the group in the support vehicle.

Good to know: the motorbike you’ll be riding therefore depends on the tour you’ve chosen, not on any personal preference. Each model is selected to be best suited to the terrain encountered on the route.

The basic requirement is the same for all our tours: you must hold a motorbike licence and be a regular rider, comfortable riding on the open road. Beyond this common foundation, the level required then varies depending on the chosen itinerary. Our Moroccan tours are divided into two levels:

• Accessible Level (The Argan Tree Route, At the Gates of the Desert, The Wonders of the Atlas)
• You are a regular motorcyclist, comfortable on the road, with little or no off-road experience. These tours mainly follow beautiful tarmac roads, with a few sections of rideable track at low speed (around 40 km/h) to gently introduce you to off-roading. No prior off-road experience is required.
• Intermediate Level (From the Southern Atlas to the Dunes of the Sahara, Berber Raid: Take on the Moroccan Atlas)
• You already have good experience of motorbike touring and have had a taste of off-road riding. These tours involve longer stages (5 to 6 hours’ riding per day), a good level of fitness, and more frequent off-road sections. You must be able to handle your motorbike on varied terrain.

Good to know: even on our ‘Accessible’ tours, adventure is part of Vintage Rides’ DNA, so you need to be prepared to tackle bumpy roads without stress.
