Madagascar

The Great Red Island costs £3,590 (€3,990) per rider and £2,990 (€3,390) per pillion for 11 days, including 8 riding days. The price includes the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 with fuel, spare parts and third-party insurance, an English-speaking motorcycle guide, a mechanic and a support vehicle, accommodation in twin or double rooms, full board from breakfast on day 2 to breakfast on day 11 (except meals on days 1, 10 and 11), the domestic flight from Toliara to Antananarivo and the entrance fees to the Ranomafana, Anja and Isalo parks. International flights, visa fees, insurance, drinks and a refundable deposit of €600 per motorcycle are not included. A registration fee of £31 (€35) applies on your first trip with us.

The tour is an adventure tour rated Intermediate: mostly small, often damaged secondary roads, frequent sections of rolling track and 5 to 6 hours of riding a day, several days in a row. You should ride regularly, be comfortable on gravel and be in good physical shape.

Only if both rider and pillion already have off-road experience, given the state of the roads and the tracks. The pillion rate is £2,990 (€3,390).

The dry season, from April to October. Our departures run in April, May, August, September and October; we avoid the rainy season, from November to March, when storms and cyclones can make roads impassable.

A Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, built for adventure riding and comfortable on both damaged tarmac and tracks. The group is limited to 10 motorcycles.

Fly to Antananarivo, where we meet you at the airport on day 1. The tour ends in the south-west, and a domestic flight, included in the price, brings you back to Antananarivo for your international flight home, which you book separately. A visa is required for Madagascar; our team will advise you on the formalities.
