See all reviewsAdventure is about broadening your horizons by stepping into the unknown. That is why Vintage Rides exists: a premium agency for distinctive motorcycle adventures, created to encourage as many people as possible to set off.
Our idea is simple: ride a Royal Enfield far from the main tourist routes, to places you would never reach by coach or by car. A motorcycle opens doors: in remote villages, at a roadside tea stop or around the evening fire, it starts conversations.
You travel in a small group of like-minded riders, solo, as a couple or with friends. Browse all our motorcycle tours to find the one that suits you.
It all started in India, and the Himalaya is still at the heart of what we do. Since then, our team has opened routes in Asia, from Nepal to Vietnam and Mongolia; in Africa, from Morocco to Tanzania; in South America, along the Andes; and in Europe, from Turkey to Sardinia.
Our teams scout every itinerary again on a regular basis and keep designing new ones, so that each trip shows you a country the way its people live it.
We ride Royal Enfield, the brand that carried our founder across India before he created Vintage Rides. Depending on the tour, you ride the Classic 350, smooth and easy on paved mountain roads, or the Himalayan, built for tracks, high passes and long days in the saddle.
Both are simple, robust and easy to handle, ideal for discovering a country at a human pace. Our mechanics maintain the bikes and follow the group on every riding day.
An English-speaking tour leader, a mechanic and a support van that carries the luggage and spare parts are with you on every guided tour. Before you leave, our team answers your questions on routes, documents and kit; on the road, 24/7 assistance is there if anything unexpected happens.
Around 2,300 riders travel with us every year, and our tours are rated 4.7 out of 5 in nearly 2,500 traveller reviews.
Vintage Rides has organised guided motorcycle tours since 2006, with more than 15,000 riders on the roads of Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. We ride Royal Enfield motorcycles in small groups, led by an English-speaking tour leader with a mechanic and a support vehicle. Browse all our motorcycle tours, including our motorcycle tours in Europe.
On our guided tours, the price covers the motorcycle, the tour leader, the mechanical back-up, the support vehicle that carries your luggage, the accommodation and most meals on riding days. Flights are not included. A £31 (€35) registration fee applies on your first trip only. Each tour page lists exactly what is and is not included, and our help centre explains booking and payment.
Yes. Our departures run on fixed dates, so many riders sign up alone and ride with people who share the same passion. Groups stay small, with no more than 10 motorcycles and 12 people per departure. You share a twin room with another rider, or book a single room for a supplement. Many riders come back for another trip, and our loyalty programme rewards them.
No. You need a motorcycle licence and regular riding on the road. Our motorcycle rambles stay mostly on tarmac, our adventure tours include more tracks, and each tour page shows its level, from Accessible to Sustained. To build confidence first, our off-road training courses last one to three days.
You fly to the starting city, where our team meets you and hands over your Royal Enfield. Each day the tour leader rides at the front, and the mechanic and the support vehicle follow the group with your luggage. You ride at the group’s pace with regular breaks, and our team stays reachable 24/7 throughout the trip.
