Namaste! You’re met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. You have two options: you can stay at the hotel and rest after the flight or go out and explore India’s bustling capital.

2/11 • Delhi - Alwar
On each of our motorcycle tours in India, we have always steered our riders away from Delhi’s hellish traffic. But for this special tour, we’ve found a magical route out of the city that’s both safe and incredibly fun! You’ll quickly be hurled into timeless rural India via a medley of small roads and hidden tracks as we make our way to the fantastic region of Alwar.

3/11 • Alwar - Jaipur
We set off for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. On the last part of the leg, we ride at the foot of the imposing Amber Fort and enter the city on an extraordinary route, which is only accessible on two wheels. In the evening, we have the chance to visit the “Pink City’s” stunning old quarter.

4/11 • Jaipur - Pushkar
We leave Jaipur city centre and ride two hours or so before reaching the vast expanses of Sambhar Salt Lake. The lake dries up in the summer and winter, making way for a unique landscape and a fun place to ride! We get straight back on the road and take some sandy tracks and small trails to the sacred town of Pushkar, located in the Aravalli Range.

5/11 • Pushkar - Ghanerao
We leave the sacred town behind us and wind our way up the slopes of the Aravalli Range. We cross several villages and enjoy superb tracks and little roads, winding through numerous valleys with beautifully contrasting scenery. We then come back down to the lowlands and reach the ancient royal palace in Ghanerao.

6/11 • Ghanerao - Jalore
Today is everything you dreamed of! We feast on tiny tracks and off-road trails. We cross several remote villages, some of which are home to the Rabari people, nomadic cattle farmers with their unmistakable attire. After a series of meandering tracks across vast fields, we reach another off-road playground: Lake Jawai.

We're now in West Rajasthan, called Marusthali (or “land of sand” in Marwari). We return to solid tracks, venturing onward along continuous twists and turns of well-maintained asphalt roads (although sand tracks do also make a regular appearance.)

8/11 • Barmer - Thar Desert
We enter the heart of the Thar Desert on a series of small sandy roads, desert tracks of varying degrees of difficulty, and deep sand. We end the day at Desert National Park, where we savour the sunset and spend the night under the stars on the dunes around a campfire (tents, beds, mattresses, and blankets are provided).

We spend our last few miles on this beautiful stretch of the Thar Desert, then we head to the fortress city and architectural dream in the middle of the arid desert: Jaisalmer. You can enjoy a coffee, have some lunch, and wander around.

You will be transported from New Delhi to Agra in a private vehicle with driver. You have the option of a 2 or 3 day extension, allowing ample time to visit the fabulous Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and the Red Fort of Agra.

Varanasi (Benares) / 2 days

Two days to discover the sacred town of Varanasi. An English-speaking guide shows you around the Buddhist city of Sarnath, one of the four holy Buddhist cities. As the sun sets, you'll have the opportunity to stroll along the Varanasi ghats and attend Aarti, a daily worship ritual. On the second day, you will enjoy a sunrise boat tour, visit the University, Bharat Mata Mandir and the rest of the city.

This raid is designed for experienced riders, it includes a few long stretches, often far from immediate medical assistance. Primary aid in reaching the nearest medical center is provided by our support vehicle, as helicopters and ambulances are rarely available. Limited phone coverage and restrictions on satellite phones can make contacting emergency services challenging. Additionally, as with any mountain route, road quality and difficulty are heavily influenced by current and prior weather conditions
