1/12 • Arrive in Delhi
Namaste, welcome to India! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in the center of Delhi. The first stop on your Asia motorcycle tour, you are free to explore the city at your own pace. We recommend visiting the Jama Masjid mosque and the picturesque Chandni Chowk bazaar.

2/12 • Delhi - Samdrup Jonghkar
We take an early morning flight from Delhi to Guwahati in Assam, a small state in east India. From there, we’re taken to the Bhutanese border in a private vehicle. After administrative paperwork, we head to Samdrup Jongkhar, where your Himalayan adventure begins.

3/12 • Samdrup Jonghkar - Trashigang
Today’s the big day! After just a few miles, you will have already fallen in love with how easy it is to ride the Royal Enfield, which is perfect for the curved roads of the Himalayan foothills. We ride from one peak to the next, taking in the surrounding countryside: bamboo forests and traditional stilt houses. We stop to visit some sites en route to Trashigang.

4/12 • Trashigang - Mongar
We leave for a short leg to Mongar. En route, we make a small detour to the Drametse Dzong. This sixteenth-century monastery is the largest and most important in east Bhutan. We head through dense blue pine forests, where woody plants, ferns and wild orchids make up the undergrowth.

5/12 • Mongar - Bumthang
We drive through the thick jungle, where we can make out Zhongar Dzong. We then leave this semi-tropical area, surrounded by bamboos and creepers, behind us and arrive on a vast plateau. We push on through another coniferous forest and start our way up to the highest pass in Bhutan: Thrumshingla Pass (3,800 m). We arrive in Jakar in the Bumthang Valley (2,600 m), famous for its monasteries.

6/12 • Bumthang - Gangtey
We head towards the west through Chume valley among vast farmlands dotted with temples. Surrounded by oak trees, woody plants and magnolias, we make our ascent to Pele La (3,300 m). We ride back down and head to Gangtey and its superb monastery. Perched on the mountainside and set on several levels, Trongsa Dzong is neatly nestled on a spur that drops into the Mangde river gorge.

7/12 • Gangtey - Punakha
We start the day on a beautiful mountain road, through dense black forest, worthy of a sci-fi film. The road then slots into a narrow, sparsely-populated valley before heading up to the Black Mountains. The ride down takes us to Tikke bridge and then to a hamlet called Chuzomsa (confluence).

8/12 • Punakha - Thimphu
We continue to Thimphu via the Dochula Pass, at an elevation of over 3,100 m. We quickly reach the capital and make the most of the afternoon to visit Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 in honour of Bhutan’s third king. You can also take a walk around the mini zoo to see some takin, the country’s mascot.

9/12 • Timphu - Paro
Our penultimate day on the bikes, and one of the best! We drive back down from the capital to Paro via Dobji Dzong, where we can take in the views of Mount Jomolhari, standing proud at 7,314 m. A beautiful road takes us to Haa before we tackle Chele La pass (3,800 m). We finally ride down towards Paro, the final stop on this tour of the Dragon Kingdom.

Today, we can go to the Tiger’s Nest monastery, perched on a cliff at 3,120 metres altitude, approximately 700 metres above the Paro Valley. We have lunch at a restaurant on our way back before heading back to Paro. You can spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure in Paro.

11/12 • Paro - Delhi
You are transferred to Paro international airport, where you take your flight back to Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • A Royal Enfield motorcycle is provided with full mechanical assistance and all spare parts

  • Domestic transfers as appearing in the program, by private vehicle

  • Domestic flights Delhi-Guwahati and Paro-Delhi (15 kgs maximum for checked baggages)

  • International flights

  • A refundable security deposit of €600 per pilot

  • Lunches and dinners during non riding days (day 1,11, 12)

This trip includes passes over 4,500 meters, often far from immediate medical assistance. Primary aid in reaching the nearest medical center is provided by our support vehicle, as helicopters and ambulances are rarely available. Limited phone coverage and restrictions on satellite phones can make contacting emergency services challenging. Additionally, as with any mountain route, road quality and difficulty are heavily influenced by current and prior weather conditions
