Morocco

Our motorcycle road trips in Morocco are available from $2,390 per rider to $2,990 per rider, depending on the duration and itinerary chosen, as part of group departures (up to 12 participants). On average, expect to pay around $320 per day and per person.

The pillion rate is generally lower. It is also possible to organize a private or tailor-made trip: the price is then calculated according to the number of days, the accommodation level desired and the number of participants.

What is included in the price:

It is difficult to name “the best” itinerary, as each of our tours reveals a different side of Morocco. The best choice depends mainly on your profile, riding level and the atmosphere you are looking for. Here is an overview of our tours to help you find the one that suits you best:

• The Wonders of the Atlas
  Our great classic. Starting from Marrakech, this tour takes you through high mountain passes, rural villages and secondary roads far off the beaten track. Ideal for a first comprehensive and varied introduction to Morocco by motorcycle.
• From the Atlas to the Sahara Dunes
  The tour for desert lovers. Starting from Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the route crosses the Fint palm grove and the mineral landscapes heading south. An itinerary combining easy off-road tracks and remote regions, for a genuine immersion in the heart of Morocco.
• At the Gates of the Desert
  A more original route exploring western Morocco: the legendary Tizi-n-Test Pass, the 300-million-year-old Anti-Atlas mountain range, and the hidden town of Tafraoute. Perfect for those looking to get off the classic tourist routes.
• Berber Raid: Challenge the Moroccan Atlas
  A more intense format, designed for riders looking for a challenge: 5 to 6 hours of riding each day, Berber villages and the famous Tichka Pass. The most physically demanding itinerary, but also the most immersive from a riding perspective.
• The Argan Tree Route
  A loop starting from Agadir, between the Atlantic Ocean, hidden palm groves and coastal desert. Accessible and varied, this is the recommended tour for a first motorcycle road trip in Morocco, alternating between small roads and easy off-road tracks.

For a first motorcycle trip to Morocco, however, we recommend choosing a tour classified as Accessible level, which focuses on paved secondary roads with only a few easy off-road sections ridden at a low speed. Three tours fit this profile, each with its own personality:

The Argan Tree Route: the gentlest introduction

Starting from Agadir, this loop alternates between small roads and easy off-road tracks between the Atlantic Ocean and the Anti-Atlas. It is the tour specifically designed as an ideal gateway to a first motorcycle road trip in Morocco.

At the Gates of the Desert: for those who prioritize riding comfort

A route that is almost entirely paved, with no technical difficulties, allowing you to focus on the scenery: the Tizi-n-Test Pass, the Anti-Atlas and Essaouira.

The Wonders of the Atlas: for a comprehensive overview of the country

Our most iconic and popular tour (432 reviews, rated 4.8/5). It remains accessible while offering a greater variety of landscapes: high mountains, Berber villages and the Dades Gorges.

Vintage Rides has chosen Royal Enfield, a mid-size motorcycle that is simple, robust and full of character, equally suited to paved roads and off-road sections. This versatility allows us to offer a wide range of itineraries, from the most accessible to the more demanding, while maintaining a consistent riding experience for the group.

In Morocco, we operate three dedicated fleets, for a total of 30 motorcycles:

• Two fleets of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 (20 motorcycles), the benchmark adventure motorcycle, representing 67% of our fleet
• One fleet of Royal Enfield 350 (10 motorcycles), more road-oriented, accounting for the remaining 33%

This diversity allows us to assign the model that best matches each tour’s profile (mileage, amount of off-road riding, required riding level) and to ensure reliable availability even during peak season.

The model used on your tour will be communicated to you at the time of booking. In all cases, your motorcycle is serviced by our local mechanic before departure and throughout the trip, and a stock of spare parts travels with the group in the support vehicle.

Good to know: the motorcycle you will ride therefore depends on the tour you choose, rather than on personal preference. Each model is selected because it is best suited to the terrain encountered along the route.

The basic requirement is the same for all our tours: you must hold a motorcycle license and be a regular rider, comfortable riding on paved roads. Beyond this common foundation, the required riding level varies according to the itinerary you choose.

Our Moroccan tours are divided into two levels:

• Accessible level (The Argan Tree Route, At the Gates of the Desert, The Wonders of the Atlas)
  You are a regular rider, comfortable on the road, with little or no off-road experience. These tours mainly use beautiful paved roads, with a few easy off-road sections at low speed (around 25 mph) to introduce you gently to off-road riding. No prior off-road experience is required.
• Level intermediate (From the Atlas to the Sahara Dunes, Berber Raid: Challenge the Moroccan Atlas)
  You already have solid motorcycle touring experience and have some previous off-road experience. These tours involve longer riding stages (5 to 6 hours of riding each day), good physical fitness and more frequent off-road sections. You must be comfortable handling your motorcycle on a variety of terrain.

Good to know: even on our Accessible-level tours, adventure is part of the Vintage Rides DNA, so you should be comfortable tackling a bumpy road without stress.
