I felt it was expensive for a short trip, I realise I was an add on however I bought my own bike and paid for my own accommodation and food. When the bike were gassed at the petrol station I had to pay for my own, which I found annoying given I'd paid 2/3 of the total price. I was often worried an inexperienced rider would crash into me, I saw this happen on a few occasions with other riders in the group. Steve and Peter did their best with the group they had however as a more experienced rider this made progress frustrating whilst we waited for riders who clearly needed more basic training. I'd love to go on more trip in wales and scotland which aren't based around training.

In the Tracks of Genghis Khan

I had studied the history of the Khan Mongolia as well the wildlife of the country before I embarked on this tour. The country far surpassed my expectations and to ride the steps that Chingiss had ridden centuries before was a real blast. The NO fences really took me by surprise and to be able to ride flat out across the plains was a real joy. Interaction with the local people and their animals was an excellent bonus. I was the only English speaker on our tour but this became not a problem as the comraderie from my other riders was a real joy. Tuk and his team really did go out of their way to make the trip work well for all of us. I had a fantastic time apart from a little mishap towards the end of the trip which was due to my exuberance in the ride. Well worth it, thank you.

The Great Red Island

This was a truly amazing experience and I really enjoyed the trip. The island is stunning with so much variety in the landscapes and terrain. The Vintage Rides experience was fantastic, very professionally run. The focus is on more than solely the ride, but connecting with the local culture which is personally why I choose VR. I personally would have liked a little more challenge and more off road - but this was a filmed trip and I understand the limitations.

The organisation was excellent. The hotels were very good. The absolute best aspect was riding with Deepak and being in his company. The landscape was amazing, the challenge to me of riding in the heat and altitude with nothing to eat and a 'bug' was very difficult. But I did it and I was very happy I did.
