Marrakech Airport - Ait Benhaddou Stage 1/8
Marrakech Airport - Ait Benhaddou
Salam! Welcome to Morocco! Your driver will be waiting for you at 2 PM at Marrakech airport to take you to Ait Ben Haddou (private transfer lasting 4 hours). Once settled in your Riad, head to the village Ksar, an 11th-century UNESCO World Heritage site. Take your time to get lost there, every viewpoint is a postcard. This first glimpse sets the tone for your Africa motorcycle tour. Meet the group in the evening for a briefing on the adventure that awaits you.
Ait Benhaddou - Foum Zguid Stage 2/8 112 miles
Ait Benhaddou - Foum Zguid
First day of our Moroccan adventure, we set off crossing Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, and continue south. A short stop in the authentic Fint palm grove to discover how this agricultural site operates. We then take on the winding roads through an exceptional mineral landscape, with villages forming oases in the hollows of these desert mountains. Travelers are rare on these roads, we feel privileged to cross the Atlas almost alone.
Foum Zguid - Zagora Stage 3/8 121 miles
Foum Zguid - Zagora
Today we head towards Zagora. We take the track in the early morning through a valley that seems abandoned, but gradually, we pass through a few villages where scenes of life unfold before us. We settle down for an impromptu picnic, an ideal moment to admire the landscape and stretch our legs. The entrance to Zagora is splendid, we then cross the Draa to reach our Riad.

Zagora - M’Hammid
Morning visit to the Zagora palm grove and the Kasbah des Juifs where some jewelers still work. We then hit the road for a short stage: heading towards the Erg Lihoudi dunes, which we reach at the end of the day. An authentic camp and dinner await us there. It's time to take off your shoes and wander through the dunes, appreciating the calm and immensity of the place. Welcome to the Sahara.
M’Hammid - N’Kob Stage 5/8 124 miles
M’Hammid - N’Kob
Let's have one last tea with our feet in the sand before hitting the road. We visit Tamgroute, its Koranic library where thousand-year-old manuscripts are preserved. Ahmed also offers us a village tour to discover the local potters, a craft known throughout Morocco. We then take the road via the Draa valley, crossing from one bank to the other. Once we arrive in Nkob, we will take a tour of this typical town in the region, which is home to over 40 Kasbahs.
NKob - Dadès Valley Stage 6/8 143 miles
NKob - Dadès Valley
Short stage today, departing from Nkob we quickly gain altitude in the Djebel Saghro massif and cross the Tizi n’Tazazert at almost 7546 feet of altitude. The views are incredible and continue until our descent towards the Dadès. We discover the shades of red of this emblematic valley and reach our favorite inn.
Dades - Ait Ben Haddou Stage 7/8 129 miles
Dades - Ait Ben Haddou
Last stage on the slopes of the High Atlas, beautiful tracks lead to Sakura. After a week at the handlebars of our Royal Enfields, these tracks become accessible and we cross them with confidence. It's hard to believe our eyes, the landscapes unfold one after another, shades of red and yellow succeed each other, it's a triumphant end to the adventure.

This raid is reserved for experienced riders. It includes long stages far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our support vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Unstable telephone networks can occasionally make contact with emergency services difficult. As with any mountain itinerary, the quality of the roads and the difficulty of the route depend on weather conditions during and before the trip.
