Colombia

Located near the equator, Colombia has two main seasons: dry (December–March and July–August) and rainy (April–May and October–November). The best time to book one of our Colombia motorcycle tour is from December to March, when most regions are dry and sunny.

This is the ideal season to explore every corner — from the Andes to the Pacific, the Caribbean coast to the Orinoco plains. Still, keep in mind that the climate shifts with altitude. Expect humid, tropical rain in the Amazon, desert conditions in La Guajira, and crisp mountain air in the high-altitude páramos.

In central Colombia, such as the area around Bogotá, the seasons are less marked. Rain often comes in the afternoon, but temperatures stay steady year-round, around 17°C (63°F). The Amazon is best visited between June and August, during the dry season, for a more accessible adventure into its wildlife-rich rainforest.

Colombia is a biodiversity powerhouse. It has over 1,700 bird species, including the iconic Andean condor, and countless plant species — especially orchids. To protect this natural wealth, the country has established 36 national parks and 15 protected areas.
