We offer three motorcycle tours in Mongolia, all classified as Adventure Tours, led by an English-speaking motorcycle guide, with basic accommodations and full board.

The Wild Spirit of the Mongolian Steppes – 10 days, 715 miles, from $4,190 per rider

The most accessible option, for riders looking above all for adventure and freedom. Cross the vast Mongolian steppes toward Lake Ogii Nuur, ride remote tracks through canyons and taiga, and tackle river crossings surrounded by wild horses, yaks, and herds of goats.

The tour includes a night staying with nomads in the Orkhon Valley, a visit to Karakorum, the former capital of Genghis Khan’s empire, and a night in an eco-camp among the dunes of Khogno Khan, the “Little Gobi,” with camels and sunset views. Departures run from May to September.

Highlights: nights in yurts, Lake Ogii Nuur, meeting nomadic families, and the Khögnö Khan dunes.

In the Tracks of Genghis Khan – 14 days, 1,056 miles, from $5,190 per rider

The longer and more immersive option, designed for riders in good physical condition with genuine endurance. Compared with The Wild Spirit of the Mongolian Steppes, this tour adds a loop through Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan National Park, home to White Lake and its extinct volcano, as well as a second night staying with a nomadic family in the Orkhon Valley.

The same Far West feeling: virtually no traffic and very few roads, in a country two and a half times the size of France with a population of just 3 million.

Highlights: White Lake, the Orkhon Valley, two nights with nomadic families, and the Little Gobi.

Frozen Ride – 8 days, 373 miles, from $6,590 per rider

A completely different kind of adventure: a winter expedition in January, riding Royal Enfield Himalayan-based sidecars, for those looking for an extreme experience.

Temperatures can reach -40°F, with wind, snow, and total isolation. Cross frozen Lake Ugii Nuur beneath almost three feet of ice and experience your first controlled slides from the very first days. Ride through lunar landscapes of white steppes and snow-covered forests, enjoy a warm break at the natural hot springs of Tsenkher, spend nights in yurts with camel herders, ride the tracks of the “Little Gobi” through wolf territory, and visit Kharkhorin.

A collective adventure built around teamwork, solidarity, and pushing your limits.

In short: 10 days for the highlights of the Mongolian steppe, 14 days to go farther and immerse yourself more deeply, or 8 days in January for an extreme winter expedition.

Prices range from $4,190 to $6,590 per rider, depending on the tour: $4,190 for The Wild Spirit of the Mongolian Steppes, $5,190 for In the Tracks of Genghis Khan, and $6,590 for Frozen Ride. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.

The price includes:

• A Royal Enfield motorcycle and spare parts
• Fuel, parking, and any applicable tolls
• Third-party motorcycle insurance
• Private airport–hotel–airport transfers as planned in the itinerary
• A French- and English-speaking motorcycle guide on riding days
• A local team including an experienced mechanic and an assistance vehicle driver, with their accommodation and meals
• An assistance vehicle for carrying equipment and luggage
• Accommodation in standard hotels, guesthouses, camps, or yurts, in twin or double rooms. Solo travelers share a twin room with another participant; a single-room supplement is available on request
• Full board, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the days specified in the itinerary, with water, tea, and coffee included
• 24/7 phone assistance from our English-speaking team in France in case of emergency

• Mandatory insurance covering medical expenses on site and repatriation assistance in case of a large-displacement two-wheel accident

As with all our tours, these prices are based on a small-group departure on a fixed date, with a maximum of 10 riders. A private or tailor-made trip is also possible on request, with the price adjusted according to the number of participants and the level of accommodation required.

Yes, on the two summer tours, with a maximum of one pillion per motorcycle.

The current US prices are $3,560 per pillion on The Wild Spirit of the Mongolian Steppes and $4,290 per pillion on In the Tracks of Genghis Khan.

Given the proportion of off-road riding, passengers should ideally have previous experience riding as a passenger on unpaved terrain and be in good physical condition.

However, Frozen Ride does not operate on a rider/pillion basis. For safety reasons related to the extreme cold, each sidecar is occupied by two riders who alternate between driving and passenger positions every 1 to 1.5 hours. This limits prolonged exposure to the cold and fatigue.

Both occupants must therefore be independent and experienced riders.

We have been operating in Mongolia since 2013 and have chosen Royal Enfield motorcycles for these tours.

The summer tours use the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the Indian manufacturer’s single-cylinder adventure motorcycle, which is ideally suited to the flowing tracks of the Mongolian steppe. The first riding day is designed to give you time to get familiar with the bike, both on paved roads and dirt tracks, before tackling the more demanding stages.

On Frozen Ride, we ride Royal Enfield-based sidecars, specially prepared for off-road riding and extreme winter conditions. Each sidecar is shared by two riders who alternate between driving and passenger positions every 1 to 1.5 hours.

Spare parts are provided and an experienced mechanic travels with the group. Extreme cold can nevertheless create mechanical constraints and require on-the-ground maintenance during the winter expedition.

Our Mongolian tours are classified as Sustained level.

Expect long stages, sometimes on broken tracks or damaged roads, as well as weather conditions that can become difficult. You need to be in good physical shape and ride regularly. Off-road experience is highly recommended.

The summer raids are reserved for experienced riders: the stages are long and take place far from first-aid facilities. Initial assistance towards the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our assistance vehicle, as helicopters and ambulances are very rare in these regions. Unstable telephone networks can also make contact with emergency services difficult.

As with any itinerary in remote and high-altitude areas, road conditions and route difficulty can vary depending on the weather before and during the trip.

Frozen Ride is exclusively for very experienced riders. This is not a conventional motorcycle vacation but a winter expedition in a remote environment, with a degree of self-sufficiency required from the group.

Riding on snow and ice involves loss of grip, reduced visibility, reduced mobility in the hands and feet, and longer reaction times. The extreme cold requires a genuine ability to cope with prolonged discomfort and a strong team spirit.

For safety reasons, each sidecar is occupied by two riders who alternate between driving and passenger positions every 1 to 1.5 hours to limit prolonged exposure to the cold and fatigue.

The winter raid takes place in isolated areas, far from emergency infrastructure. In an emergency, initial assistance toward the nearest medical center is mainly provided by the assistance vehicle, while rapid evacuation by helicopter or ambulance is extremely rare. Telephone coverage is limited and unstable.
