Spanning the vibrant regions of Caldas, Risaralda, and Quindío, this adventure offers a mix of sweeping Andean twists, emerald-green hills, and brightly colored colonial towns. As you ride from the energy of Medellín to traditional coffee plantations, you'll conquer winding roads, lush forests, and deep valleys—all to the rhythmic hum of your Royal Enfield and the authentic sounds of Colombian music.

Welcome to Colombia! Your South America motorcycle tours begins upon arrival at Medellín Airport, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your first glimpse of the "City of Eternal Spring," renowned for its pleasant climate, vibrant atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage. In the evening, meet your guide for a trip briefing. Overnight at the hotel.
Medellín - Jardín Étape 2/7 124 miles

Your motorcycle adventure begins as you head southwest into the Antioquia region. Leaving Medellín behind, you quickly climb into the Andes, following scenic mountain roads through lush valleys, coffee plantations, and picturesque rural landscapes. Along the way, stop in the colonial town of Santa Fe de Antioquia, the region's former capital, before continuing along winding mountain roads. By late afternoon, arrive in Jardín, widely regarded as one of Colombia's most beautiful villages, famous for its colorful facades, lively central square, and authentic atmosphere. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, ride into the heart of Colombia's Coffee Region. Today's route combines scenic dirt tracks and winding paved roads with breathtaking views over the mountains of Caldas. Coffee plantations stretch across the hillsides, while encounters with local farmers offer an insight into the traditions and lifestyle of the Paisa people. After a local lunch, continue to Salamina, one of Colombia's designated Heritage Towns, celebrated for its beautifully preserved colonial architecture and peaceful ambiance. Overnight at the hotel.

Today's ride takes you deeper into the Colombian Andes. The road climbs through mountain forests and volcanic landscapes, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Arrive in Manizales, the capital of the Caldas department and one of Colombia's coffee capitals. Built on steep hillsides, the city is renowned for its coffee culture, vibrant university atmosphere, and stunning mountain setting. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a stroll through the city or sample locally produced coffee from nearby plantations. Overnight at the hotel.
Manizales - Doradal Étape 5/7 149 miles

Leaving the high Andes behind, you descend gradually toward lower elevations. The scenery changes dramatically as coffee-covered mountains give way to lush tropical forests and warmer climates. The road winds through valleys, rivers, and impressive canyons before reaching Doradal, the gateway to Río Claro Nature Reserve. This remarkable natural area is famous for its crystal-clear waters, tropical rainforest, and spectacular marble canyon. Spend the evening relaxing in this peaceful setting. Overnight at the hotel.

Your final riding day takes you back toward Medellín. Climbing once again into the mountains of Antioquia, enjoy one last ride along Colombia's spectacular winding roads and scenic landscapes. Arriving in Medellín marks the end of your unforgettable motorcycle journey through the Andes and Colombia's renowned Coffee Region. Return the motorcycles and enjoy a free evening to soak up the city's lively atmosphere one last time. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Fuel, parking, any tolls.

  • Third-party motorcycle insurance.

  • Mandatory insurance: insurance covering medical expenses on site. Repatriation assistance, which covers you in case of 2-wheel accidents (large displacement).

  • Legal insurance and cancellation insurance highly recommended.

  • International driving permit and visa fees if necessary.

  • This raid includes stages far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our assistance vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Limited telephone networks can make contact with emergency services difficult.
  • As with any adventure itinerary, the difficulty of the route depends on weather conditions, both during and before the trip.
