I had a fantastic week riding quiet, empty roads across and around the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The routes were varied and scenic, offering a great mix of mountain passes, open roads, and changing terrain.
Raphael, Moussa, and trainee guide Philippe ? did an excellent job of looking after the group throughout the trip. The organisation was solid, and support was always close at hand. Moussa made sure we were well looked after between stops, providing plenty of snacks, coffee, and water—very welcome during long riding days.
I’d never previously considered Royal Enfield 350s for a five‑day tour over such varied terrain, but they proved to be surprisingly well suited—capable, dependable, and easy to manage on everything from twisty mountain roads to rougher sections. That said, it still doesn’t mean I’ll be buying one!
The group was predominantly French‑speaking, but everyone made a genuine effort to include us Brits despite our limited language skills. Solo travellers should be aware that some basic French would be beneficial.
The trip included three meals a day while on the road. Breakfasts were buffet‑style with a good selection, lunches were relaxed restaurant stops, and evening meals were enjoyable social occasions. All lunches and dinners were freshly cooked tagines. Personally, I would have preferred lighter and slightly shorter lunches, leaving more time to explore our overnight destinations.
Overall, this was a well‑organised and memorable tour with strong guiding, excellent routes, and great support. I’d happily ride with this company again.
Now the only question left is: where to next?
