Simply amazing, and now Vintage Rides is my go-to destination for m'bike adventures. The Morocco trip has set a high-standard of expectations for accommodation, but I'm sure all the trips are good. Having all the riders on exactly the same type of bike and that bike being what is essentially a retro, basic, no-frills bike is brilliant, because the trip then is about a journey on a bike not a journey that is all about the bike. The pre-travel support from VR was excellent, and the support from the tour leader during the trip was fantastic. Merci beaucoup, mon amis.

Off-road training in France level 1
I first saw VR in September 2018 when I joined some friends for the Transhimalyenne. I had ridden off-road once before and was not well prepared for the Manali Leh highway and the desert of the Chang Tang. I would love to have done this introduction course before leaving for Manali, I may have fallen fewer times! I would recommend this three day introduction course to any motorcyclist contemplating a long trip off-road with VR. I would also like to ride the Trans-Pyrenean trails in a group or with a guide.

Mustang: the Legendary Expedition
I enjoyed the trip but sadly wouldn't go with Vintage Rides again. This was because of the language issue. The 'linga franca' of the group was French and because of this at the end of a long day everyone wanted to chat in their native language. Which meant that i and the other Mike were 'thrown together ' somewhat. Not a problem but a little limiting. The riding was harder than I expected. My fault i think...i forgot that my last off road racing was over 15 years ago. Next time something a little more relaxing preferably with paved roads.
