Transfer from Ioannina Airport to your hotel located in a charming town on the shores of Lake Pamvotida. Meet your motorcycle guide and the rest of the group at the end of the day for an initial briefing on the adventure that awaits you on this  Europe motorbike tour!
Ioannina → Gjirokastër
2/7 • Ioannina → Gjirokastër
From the very first miles, the road invites you to escape. You leave Ioannina heading south, passing by the ancient site of Butrint (UNESCO), a true archaeological gem where theaters, temples, and necropolises tell the story of a millennia-old city. Then head up toward the heights of Gjirokastër, a fortress town with slate roofs, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Ottoman authenticity. The ascent by motorcycle reveals breathtaking scenery: rugged mountains, lush valleys, and the Ionian Sea in the distance. In the evening, stroll through the old town and soak in its unique atmosphere.

Today is all about diverse landscapes. After a breakfast filled with local flavors, you get back on your bike and follow a road that climbs and opens onto spectacular views. Riding along the wild Vjosa Valley, enjoy smooth curves and invigorating air. The route then joins the Albanian Riviera (SH8), offering a succession of seaside panoramas where mountains meet the sea. Stop in Borsh, a coastal village with pristine beaches, before climbing the Llogara Pass. The day ends in Berat (UNESCO), the “city of a thousand windows,” famous for its castle and historic districts of Mangalem and Gorica.

A stage marked by wild nature and forgotten roads. Leave Berat for an authentic journey through inland Albania. The road winds toward the Osum Canyon, where deep gorges and turquoise waters create epic landscapes. Further on, the SH72 and SH74 guide you through remote villages and peaceful valleys—an ideal playground for riders seeking thrills and off-the-beaten-path discoveries. Arrival in Elbasan, a historic town with a warm atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening.

Today brings a change of scenery with the discovery of one of the region’s natural gems. After leaving Elbasan, the road leads east, where nature takes center stage. You reach Lake Ohrid (UNESCO), one of Europe’s oldest lakes, renowned for its crystal-clear beauty and peaceful shores. Ride along the lake, stop at Drilon Park with its lush gardens, and enjoy quiet moments by the water that invite total disconnection. Pogradec, a welcoming small town, will be your base for the night.

For this final stage, the journey takes on a bucolic and introspective tone. You leave Pogradec and follow the shores of Lake Prespa to reach the village of Pustec, nestled in the heart of a national park where nature and traditions live in harmony.
