G’Day! My name is Samuel Nyhuis, and I am one of latest additions to the Vintage Rides team. My mission will be to take care of the English speaking riders.
I am 20 years old, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. I am a university student, and I’m studying international business. I have lived in this country my whole life, and previously haven’t had the opportunity to explore beyond its enclosing ocean borders. Australia is an amazing country to live and explore.

For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for motorbikes, when I was just a kid I was forever dreaming about the day I could finally throw a leg over the one of the two wheeled machines and go for a long ride. It wasn’t until I was 17 that I would get one; from all the money that I had saved, I purchased a Yamaha XTZ660 Tenere adventure bike, which would be my first love affair with motorcycles.
After a couple of years riding the Tenere, I decided to upgrade to something a bit more reliable, and easier to handle in the dirt, a Suzuki DR650.

This bike has taught me many lessons, and has taken me many places. On this bike I have travelled to the Victorian high country, the Great Ocean Road, all around Tasmania, and up rough tracks that are well outside my comfort zone around the outskirts of Melbourne.
This bike has taught me to push myself to do things I would not normally do; and it has helped to prepare me for the next big adventure, India.

I first came across Vintage Rides at the Motorcycle Expo here in Melbourne, and had a chance to meet with David and Alex from the Vintage Rides team. After the Expo I continued to research Vintage Rides, and decided that it was time I explored outside the confines of Australia. As not only did I want to go and see India, I wanted to live and breathe it. Which to make a long story short, is how decided that I wanted to part of the Vintage Rides team!
So the lesson here is; seize every opportunity that presents itself, and don’t be afraid to go and explore and see the world!I am excited to be part of the Vintage Rides team and can’t wait to explore Incredible India.
