Arrival in Kathmandu - Patan
Welcome to Nepal! Meet and greet at the airport according to your flight schedule and transfer to Patan. Authentic and full of life, this "city of beauty" is the ideal starting point for your Asia motorbike tour and a first day of acclimatization.
Patan - Chitwan Stage 2/14 106 miles
Patan - Chitwan
First day of motorcycle travel, we reach Terai: the country's granary with striking resemblances to neighboring India. In the afternoon, a short walk in the park's jungle where abundant flora and fauna contrast with the mountainous landscapes of the Himalayas. Overnight in an Eco-lodge.
Chitwan - Tansen Stage 3/14 115 miles
Chitwan - Tansen
We leave the jungle for the mountainous roads towards Tansen, in the Northwest. We explore the small town, isolated from mass tourism, where the picturesque charm of the narrow streets and the nonchalant bustle of the locals invite strolling and offer a relaxing setting after this long stage.
Tansen - Pokhara Stage 4/14 90 miles

A beautiful stage to Pokhara, the road is good and goes up the green valley of the Aadhi Khola river. We remain vigilant at the entrance to Pokhara, where traffic increases. Arrival near Phewa Lake in the afternoon. Free time.
Pokhara - Tatopani Stage 5/14 81 miles
Pokhara - Tatopani
It's time to head towards Mustang! The serious business begins for your road trip in Nepal... The trail goes up along the Kali Gandaki river, the valley becomes narrower and narrower, and finally the first snow-capped peaks of the Annapurnas appear before us, at over 26247 feet altitude! Arrival in Tatopani and its hot springs.

Tatopani - Marpha
This short stage of about 28 miles will prove to us that Mustang is earned! The first section to Ghasa is the most difficult: the rocky trail is very steep in places and offers us some challenging fords! The landscape today becomes truly spectacular and gives us the necessary energy to move forward!
Marpha - Muktinath Stage 7/14 37 miles
Marpha - Muktinath
Today, we take the measure of this ancient kingdom of Mustang, a majestic territory of rocks and canyons dominated by the highest peaks in the world! We cross Jomsom, the most important village in the valley, and gain altitude, passing the 11483 feet mark. In a stunning mineral landscape, we reach Muktinath.
Muktinath - Tatopani Stage 8/14 50 miles
Muktinath - Tatopani
We descend into the Kali Gandaki valley via a deserted and mineral trail, carved into the mountainside. The view of Dhaulagiri peak, at over 26247 feet, is impressive, almost unreal. We resume the road towards the village of Tatopani.
Tatopani - Rupakot Stage 9/14 84 miles
Tatopani - Rupakot
We savor the first 16 miles of trail, before returning to asphalt! A good traditional meal awaits us in Sarangkot, with an exceptional view of Pokhara and Phewa Lake. We stop 12 miles further, at the top of a small hill near Begnas Lake.
Rupakot - Bandipur Stage 10/14 50 miles
Rupakot - Bandipur
We descend Rupakot hill via small winding roads, before crossing the main road and heading back up towards the charming village of Bandipur. We end this day with a walk to admire the village's typical architecture.
Bandipur - Gorkha Stage 11/14 31 miles
Bandipur - Gorkha
A short stage to take some time to rest in Gorkha. We take as many small roads as possible to avoid the often-busy main road, although some sections are unavoidable. The adventure continues!
Gorkha - Nuwakot Stage 12/14 124 miles
Gorkha - Nuwakot
A long and beautiful day of riding takes us towards Kathmandu. Following the Trisuli river, our path is dotted with various encounters, all within a landscape varying from abundant rice paddies, pine forests, and imposing gorges. We stop in the charming village of Bandipur before continuing to Nuwakot.
Nuwakot - Kathmandu Stage 13/14 43 miles
Nuwakot - Kathmandu
We hit the road again for this last day of motorcycling in Nepal. The road is narrow and beautiful, we cross a pass and Shivapuri National Park before reaching the capital for lunch. It's time to say goodbye to our steeds. Free time and evening in Kathmandu in the lively Thamel district.

  • Third-party motorcycle insurance.

  • Mandatory insurance: insurance covering medical expenses on site. Repatriation assistance, which covers you in case of 2-wheel (large displacement) accidents.

  • Legal insurance and cancellation insurance highly recommended.

  • The international driving permit.

This raid is reserved for experienced riders. It includes long stages at high altitude (passes > 11483 feet), far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our support vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Limited telephone networks can make contact with emergency services difficult. As with any mountain itinerary, the quality of the roads and the difficulty of the route depend on weather conditions, both during and before the trip.
