It's hard to describe such a trip in just a few lines..., but it's a total change of scenery, with roads, gorges, canyons and other truly exceptional passes. And the icing on the cake, a pedal boat higher than Mont Blanc - not bad, eh?

We felt that Vintage Ride was well organized at every level. With my son, we took the extensions to Agra and Vanarasi, which were just as well oiled. On all these points, nothing to say, no faults. The only two surprises I would mention are : - When we returned from Agra and Varanasi to Délhi, we found that the quality of the rooms was more than mediocre, despite the supplements of €140 per night. - But above all, a daily bludgeoning of tips, the practice of which is so institutionalized that we no longer even have any control over it. Receptionists, baggage handlers, waiters, guides, drivers, mechanics, daily hotel rates, collected every morning by the guide, etc. etc. etc. Clearly, over three weeks, more than €500 in tips for two, and all within the amounts recommended by Vintage Ride. "It stings a little. We would have liked to have been a little more aware of the subject before departure. It's worth pointing out, but won't detract from the memory of a quality trip.
