In the Tracks of Genghis Khan

I had studied the history of the Khan Mongolia as well the wildlife of the country before I embarked on this tour. The country far surpassed my expectations and to ride the steps that Chingiss had ridden centuries before was a real blast. The NO fences really took me by surprise and to be able to ride flat out across the plains was a real joy. Interaction with the local people and their animals was an excellent bonus. I was the only English speaker on our tour but this became not a problem as the comraderie from my other riders was a real joy. Tuk and his team really did go out of their way to make the trip work well for all of us. I had a fantastic time apart from a little mishap towards the end of the trip which was due to my exuberance in the ride. Well worth it, thank you.

The Great Red Island

This was a truly amazing experience and I really enjoyed the trip. The island is stunning with so much variety in the landscapes and terrain. The Vintage Rides experience was fantastic, very professionally run. The focus is on more than solely the ride, but connecting with the local culture which is personally why I choose VR. I personally would have liked a little more challenge and more off road - but this was a filmed trip and I understand the limitations.

The organisation was excellent. The hotels were very good. The absolute best aspect was riding with Deepak and being in his company. The landscape was amazing, the challenge to me of riding in the heat and altitude with nothing to eat and a 'bug' was very difficult. But I did it and I was very happy I did.

Inca Treasures in the High Andes

The organization, leadership and logistics for the trip were without fault. absolutely reliable. the country is fascinating and stunning, but be prepared for it to be cold in the shade, when it gets dark and in the some of the bedrooms and bathrooms. this is not for people who want a pampering trip. also, most of the trip happens at altitude. i'm fit, but even I felt breathless for much of the time. this is a price you have to pay, but be ready for it. overall i'd highly recommend the trip.
