At the Gates of the Desert has the same format but heads for the Anti-Atlas and the Atlantic at Essaouira. The Argan Tree Route lasts 8 days from Agadir. For the Sahara dunes or more off-road riding, From the Atlas to the Sahara Dunes and the Berber Raid are for riders who have already ridden off-road.

The tour is rated Accessible: a motorcycle license and regular riding are enough, which makes it a good first motorcycle tour abroad. About 10% of the route is on easy dirt roads, the rest on winding mountain roads, up to a pass at 8,860 ft. Some stages are far from medical help: the support vehicle follows the group.

About 620 miles over 5 riding days, so 118 to 130 miles a day. Mountain roads are winding: expect a full day in the saddle, with photo stops and lunch on the way.

A Royal Enfield Classic 350 or Himalayan 450, depending on the departure: the model is confirmed when you book. The Classic 350 has the lower seat. If your height makes you hesitate, either way, talk to your travel advisor before booking.

An English-speaking motorcycle tour leader, a mechanic and the driver of the support vehicle, which carries your luggage and the spare parts. The group is limited to 10 motorcycles (12 participants with passengers).

The tour starts and ends in Marrakech, and you book your own flights. Our team meets you at the airport on day 1 and takes you back on day 7, according to your flight times. Departures run from February to June, then from September to November. Days are warm but mornings and evenings are cold, especially at altitude: bring a warm layer and rain gear.
