1/5 • Annecy (Le Semnoz) - La Plagne
This France motorcycle tour begins in Annecy. After taking charge of your Royal Enfield Himalayan, we will cross the Bauges massif to admire the pure waters of Lake Annecy. Then, we will wander through alpine pastures on our first off-road tracks to reach the Aravis mountain range. The itinerary continues through Beaufortain and the Col du Cormet de Roselend, where we will find one of the most secluded tracks, leading us to the Tarentaise Valley where we will rest for the night. Enjoy an overnight stay in a standard but cosy gîte d'étape, with a delicious home-cooked dinner and a warm welcome from Valérie, who will make you feel right at home!

2/5 • La Plagne - Mont Cenis
Like the armies of Savoy, we will conquer the Maurienne Valley by ascending the Col de la Madeleine. Then, we will take an off-road balcony trail to reach the iconic switchbacks of Montvernier, carved into the mountainside. Next, we will wander through the Maurienne Valley along winding small roads, sometimes unpaved, to reach Lake Montcénis, which shares its border with Italy. Overnight in a standard gîte d'étape, enjoy a delicious dinner of local specialities in a warm and authentic atmosphere.

3/5 • Mont-Cenis - Guillestre
We will start the day with the iconic and winding Strada Straffale 25 to reach the town of Susa. Then, we will conquer the Col du Finestre via a winding trail to reach the entrance of the military road of the Col de l’Assietta, which peaks at 2,472 meters. We will cross back into France and visit the Vauban fort in the city of Briançon, the highest town in Europe. After this demanding day, we will stop at the gates of Queyras to admire its castle as we traverse a narrow trail. Overnight in a standard hostel, nestling in the heart of the summits, enjoy a moment of relaxation by the pool before savouring a delicious dinner in a friendly atmosphere.

4/5 • Guillestre - Vaujany
From the Guillestrois region, we will head towards the ascent of the legendary Col du Parpaillon, with a round trip. To do this, several technical trails will allow us to overlook Lake Serre-Ponçon and reach the famous tunnel. Then, we will follow the Drac River to cross the lush Champsaur Valley. Finally, we will find refuge on the N85, following in Napoleon’s footsteps. Overnight in a mountain refuge.

5/5 • Vaujany - Annecy (Le Semnoz)
On this final day, only the less winding asphalt will be our playground. We will head towards the Bauges Massif, crossing the Maquis d’Oisons, a historic site of resistance. We will climb to the Col du Glandon after admiring Lake Verney and its Himalayan-style bridge, followed by Lake Grand Maison. Finally, we will descend to Annecy for the grand finale.

  • A certified instructor and guide from the Fédération Française de Moto

  • Mandatory insurance: an insurance covering medical expenses for riders not affiliated with French social security

  • A refundable security deposit of €600 per pilot

  • Off-road motorcycle gear (full-face helmet, boots, reinforced gloves, etc.)

This ride includes some long stages far from emergency services. In case of an accident, the guide will contact public emergency services (firefighters, SAMU) as quickly as possible. Unstable phone networks may occasionally make contact with emergency services difficult. As with any adventure route, the difficulty of the journey depends on the weather conditions, both during and before the trip.
