Initiatory, authentic, and coherent, this new itinerary will make you discover the beauty of Rajasthan, a fascinating mix of authentic villages, secret trails, majestic palaces and forts, unforgettable encounters, and scenes of life. Pushkar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bundi, Jaipur, you will be dazzled by the extremely rich history and culture of the cities you visit. More than a motorcycle trip, it's a strong and intense experience in India that will leave no one indifferent.

Welcome to India! You are greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel in central Delhi. You can rest after your flight or take the opportunity to discover the bustling Indian capital.
Delhi - Mandawa Étape 2/13 109 miles
Delhi - Mandawa
We begin our India motorcycle tour heading towards Shekhawati, a region famous for its majestic havelis. We first leave Delhi in a private vehicle to reach the starting point and our motorcycles. Then we enter the “Land of Kings” via small country roads, offering us a first glimpse of hyper-rurality from our very first turns of the wheel.

We cross the heart of Shekhawati for the first hour, and stop at one of the important centers of the great era of the Shekhawats; Nawalgarh, where we visit a Haveli transformed into a museum. Then we head south along a string of ancient forts, towards the Sambhar salt lake, where an epic free-ride awaits us, if terrain conditions permit. Then, from small roads to country departmental roads, we reach the small holy city of Pushkar. Overnight at the hotel.

Before leaving the holy city, we can witness the ritual ablutions of the devout around the sacred lake early in the morning. Then we cross the gentle surrounding hills on quiet and rural roads, leading us towards Marwar, a vast semi-arid plain, the fringe of the Thar desert. At the end of the stage, we cross the region of the Bishnoi and Jaat communities, to reach one of the most mythical cities in the region. Jodhpur, founded in 1459, dominated by its gigantic fortress, is the second largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning, we cross the old city of Jodhpur, dense and bustling, and visit the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. Second passage through the land of the Bishnoi, these ecologists ahead of their time, then head south towards the Aravallis mountain range. After lunch, we take beautiful rural roads, crossing numerous hamlets of the Rabari community, semi-nomadic herders, towards the village of Ghanerao. Overnight in a fort-hotel or a 'jungle lodge'.
Ghanerao - Udaipur Étape 6/13 96 miles

We tackle the winding roads of the Aravallis range, crossing numerous villages and valleys where agricultural techniques still evoke the 19th century in our countryside. Visit the Kumbalgarh fortress, endowed with the second longest wall in the world (23 miles) after the Great Wall of China. Arrival in Udaipur, ancient Rajput capital of Mewar, built around several lakes. Free visit of the city. Overnight at the hotel.
Udaipur Étape 7/13 Rest day - 11 optional miles

You are free to visit Udaipur on foot and relax. We are in the heart of the historic city and everything is close by. This city is full of charm and surprises. In the late afternoon, a short and easy motorcycle ride to Sajjan Garh Palace (Monsoon Palace) is possible. This high-perched spot overlooking the entire city, surrounded by a small bio-reserve, is worth it, not only for the unique history of the palace, but also for its superb viewpoint. Overnight at the hotel.
Udaipur - Chittorgarh Étape 8/13 143 miles
Udaipur - Chittorgarh
We leave the “Indian Venice” and cross beautiful and gentle hills inhabited by simple farming communities, heading towards the ancient historical capital of the Mewar kingdom, and its fortress of noble and valiant warriors, the Rajputs. Chittorgarh was abandoned in the mid-16th century for Udaipur. After lunch and a visit to this extraordinary fortress-city, we cross another region of simple peasantry in the rocky hills east of the Aravallis, to spend a princely night in a restored palace in the middle of a small lake, backed by a small nature reserve.
Chittogarh - Bundi Étape 9/13 75 miles

On the way to Bundi, a small town with such an Indian atmosphere, and its fort, and its palace famous for its murals considered the finest in Rajasthan. We set off on an impeccable highway; beautiful, smooth, clean, with no traffic. En route, a small motorcycle detour to a ruined fort, another one, then to a waterfall. And finally charming country roads, as it should be, towards our stop for the day. Overnight at the hotel.
Bundi - Ranthambore Étape 10/13 84 miles
Bundi - Ranthambore
Head towards Ranthambore National Park. Leaving Bundi, a fast road followed by quiet small roads through granite relief sections along the geological line of the tiger park area. Lunch at destination. In the afternoon, we take a jeep safari amidst crocodiles, birds, sambars, monkeys, and of course the local star, the tiger, which we may be lucky enough to see. Overnight at a Resort on the edge of the park.
Ranthambore - Jaipur Étape 11/13 90 miles
Ranthambore - Jaipur
On the way to the capital of Rajasthan, this bustling “Pink City”, where it takes some time to stroll around and perhaps do some shopping. The city was built in the grandeur and legends of the “Land of Kings”. The Palace of Winds, the astronomical observatory, and the central palace are just some of the jewels of this city. Today we mainly ride on “national roads”, fast, in fairly good condition, without too much traffic, to arrive in Jaipur in the early afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Jaipur - Alwar Étape 12/13 71 miles
Jaipur - Alwar
Last day of motorcycling in Rajasthan. We first visit the immense Amber Fort, located a few miles north of Jaipur: an imposing spectacle to conclude this journey beautifully. Then we get back on our Royal Enfields on increasingly winding small roads as we approach the Alwar district, a very bucolic part of the Aravallis range. Optional visit to Bhangarh Fort. Overnight in a 'nature' lodge.

Return by private minibus to the capital. One or two rooms in Delhi are reserved for refreshing before the international flight. Transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule. End of our services.

This ride includes long stages far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our support vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Limited telephone networks can make contact with emergency services difficult. As with any adventure itinerary, the difficulty of the route depends on weather conditions, both during and before the trip.
