From the historic streets of Quito, ride beneath the active Reventador Volcano, descend into the lush Amazon Rainforest, and return through the breathtaking Avenue of the Volcanoes. This journey combines winding mountain roads, tropical jungle, indigenous culture, dramatic volcanic landscapes, and unforgettable riding. Welcome to Ecuador! Upon arrival in Quito (9,350 ft), you'll be transferred to your hotel in the heart of one of South America's best-preserved colonial cities. Meet your guides and fellow riders during the evening welcome briefing, followed by a traditional Ecuadorian dinner.
Quito - Reventador Volcano Stage 2/7 118 miles
Quito - Reventador Volcano
Leaving Quito, we ride east through the spectacular Andes before descending toward the Amazon Basin. Twisting mountain roads lead us through cloud forests and dramatic landscapes before arriving near the active Reventador Volcano, one of Ecuador's most impressive volcanic peaks.
Reventador Volcano - Misahuallí Stage 3/7 106 miles
Reventador Volcano - Misahuallí
Today's ride continues deeper into Ecuador's Amazon region. The roads become greener and more tropical as we descend into the rainforest. Misahuallí is a charming riverside village famous for its friendly monkeys, jungle atmosphere, and access to the Amazon River.
Misahuallí - Macas Stage 4/7 146 miles
Misahuallí - Macas
One of the most scenic riding days of the expedition. Following the eastern foothills of the Andes, today's route combines winding pavement, lush rainforest, waterfalls, rivers, and panoramic mountain views. Macas, known as the "Gateway to the Amazon," offers a perfect mix of adventure and local culture.
Macas - Colta Stage 5/7 152 miles
Macas - Colta
Today's ride climbs back into the Andes, crossing high-altitude passes and indigenous communities before reaching Colta. This region is rich in Ecuadorian history and offers incredible views of snow-capped volcanoes, traditional villages, and vast highland landscapes.
Colta - Quito Stage 6/7 131 miles
Colta - Quito
Our final riding day follows the legendary Avenue of the Volcanoes, one of South America's most beautiful motorcycle routes. Enjoy sweeping curves, breathtaking Andean scenery, and unforgettable views before arriving back in Quito to celebrate the completion of the expedition.

Quito
Depending on your flight schedule, you will have time to enjoy a few more hours in the historic center of Quito. Transfer to the international airport.

  • A Royal Enfield motorcycle and spare parts.

  • Fuel, parking, any tolls.

  • Third-party motorcycle insurance.

  • Mandatory insurance: insurance covering medical expenses on site. Repatriation assistance, which covers you in case of 2-wheel (large displacement) accidents.

  • Legal insurance and cancellation insurance highly recommended.

  • International driving permit.

This ride includes some long stages far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our assistance vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Unstable telephone networks can occasionally make contact with emergency services difficult. As with any adventure itinerary, the difficulty of the route depends on weather conditions, both during and before the trip.
