New Cowboys of the Old West

Our day begins with a coffee meet-and-greet in Rapid City, where you will be introduced to your riding companions and your faithful steed, a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Your luggage will be transported ahead to our hotel. We will wind our way through densely forested Black Hills, discovering exhilarating riding and a few hidden gems on our way to the iconic motorcycle destination of Sturgis. Walk the hallowed ground where hundreds of thousands of riders gather each August to celebrate the world’s biggest motorcycle rally, and feel the pulse of American motorcycle culture at the legendary rally epicenter. You may choose to dine at one of the world-famous biker restaurants, or spend time marveling at the Sturgis Museum & Hall of Fame. Departing Sturgis, we will make our way through ponderosa pine forests on winding mountain roads. We will depart the pavement in favor of beautiful forest trails, in search of spectacular overlooks of the northern Black Hills. Today’s varied riding showcases why this region is considered one of the highlights of america motorcycle tours. Our evening will be spent in historic Deadwood – where Wild Bill Hickok met his fate, fortunes were made, and legends were born. The night is yours to explore this authentic Wild West town, featuring dozens of dining options, historic saloons and incredible frontier atmosphere.

This is your longest and most adventurous day, taking you deep into the Black Hills backcountry on remote dirt trails that wind through untouched wilderness. We will navigate more technical trails, cross crystal-clear mountain streams, and climb to hidden overlooks that offer panoramic views across endless forested valleys. These are the trails that separate the dreamers from the riders – where your ADV skills will be tested and rewarded. As we discover the remains of gold rush-era ghost towns, keep your eyes peeled for the region's abundant wildlife: from white-tailed deer to wild turkeys, and if you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the majestic elk that call these mountains home. The day ends with another opportunity to explore Deadwood and share tales of the day's conquests with your fellow riders.

The Black Hills are considered among America's most spectacular motorcycle destinations. Today, we stick to the pavement to experience roads that have become legendary among riders worldwide. Navigate the tunnels carved through towering granite spires along Needles Highway, and engineering marvel offering heart-stopping scenery around every curve. Tackle the spirals, pigtails, and one-lane tunnels of Iron Mountain Road – a photographer's dream and a rider's paradise. We end the in Rapid City, where our luggage awaits us. You may wish to add a hotel night in Rapid City’s vibrant downtown, or catch an evening flight home. Our adventure may be over, but you'll carry with you the spirit of the Old West and memories of some of the most breathtaking roads in America.
