Guided by the spirit of exploration and the legacy of Genghis Khan, riders experience Mongolia in its most authentic form—sleeping in traditional yurts, meeting nomadic families, and crossing landscapes where wildlife still roams freely. This is more than a trip; it’s a full immersion into adventure, freedom, and discovery. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
According to your flight schedule, welcome at the airport then transfer to your hotel. Free visit of the city. Ulaanbaatar (4429 feet) is located in the valley of the Tuul River, flowing south. The city extends for nearly 19 miles from west to east and 9 miles from north to south. With its one and a half million inhabitants and the mining boom, the city has changed a lot in the last 20 years. This stay is also the beginning of your motorbike tour in Asia, which will take you through spectacular landscapes and authentic villages.

We discover our Royal Enfield Himalayans and meet our motorcycle guide. This first day on road and a bit on track will allow you to familiarize yourself with your machine, and especially to feel it on the steppe terrain, which is generally not difficult but may sometimes require a bit of technique.

We ride on the Middle Road, and fully feel these infinite Mongolian lands, which express all their beauty only when you hit the track in the middle of an ocean of greenery, reliefs, and herds of animals. Overnight in a yurt camp, on the shore of Lake Ogii.

Lunch is taken in a local eatery. The tracks are mostly very smooth, and it's a real pleasure to ride them on our small Indian Trail bike. First river crossings, more or less easy depending on Mother Nature's mood.

We ride towards the westernmost point of our journey: the region of the White Lake and the extinct Khorgo volcano. En route, we will see some of the oldest known archaeological remains in Mongolia, numerous in the Tamir valley. A change of atmosphere on the last miles of tracks near the volcano and its lava field.

Relaxing day to discover the White Lake region. You are free to simply rest, or to combine a walk to the volcano in the morning (on foot, by car, or both), and a motorcycle ride in the afternoon towards the small Khadat lake.

We head back east towards the Tsenkher hot springs. We alternate between road and tracks, varying this route as much as possible so as not to ride the same way as on the outward journey. We have a local lunch and visit the Tsetserleg market in preparation for our visit with the nomads.

Rest day at the springs. We enjoy the hot baths to relax. Possibility of a walk to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the surrounding larch forests. For the most avid riders and track enthusiasts, a beautiful loop with some more technical sections than usual.
Tsenkher - Orkhon Valley Étape 9/14 62 to 71 miles, including 62 to 71 miles of track.

The track leads us to the heart of the Orkhon River valley, with several river crossings and small passes. The landscapes become more mountainous. The steppe gradually gives way to the rolling landscapes of the foothills of the volcanic Khangai mountains. Arrival in the mid-afternoon at our hosts' place, not far from the Orkhon waterfalls. Overnight in a yurt with a nomadic family.

Exploring one of Mongolia's most breathtaking waterfalls, we'll have the choice between a 45-minute horseback ride or a motorcycle excursion, each option promising a unique experience. Back at the welcoming Nomadic Family, a sumptuous Khorchos lunch, an emblem of traditional Mongolian cuisine, awaits us. In the afternoon, a three-hour motorcycle ride through the area, offering the opportunity to soak in the local atmosphere and discover the hidden treasures of this nomadic community. A memorable day, blending traditions, majestic nature, and moments of tranquility. Second night in guest yurts with a family. Three to five people per yurt.
Orkhon Valley - Karakorum Étape 11/14 78 miles, including 74 miles of track.

Our day will begin with an exploration of the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we will travel 78 miles through natural landscapes rich in Mongolian flora and fauna. On horseback along the Orkhon River, the longest in Mongolia, we will follow its winding course for an authentic experience. Lunch will be a picnic in the heart of preserved nature. Our journey will take us to Karakorum, the historic capital of the Mongol Empire. There, we will have the opportunity to visit Erdene Zuu, the oldest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, a precious witness to the country's spiritual history. A day combining wild nature and cultural heritage. Overnight in a yurt camp.
Karakorum - Khogno Khan Étape 12/14 93 miles, including 37 to 56 miles of track.

Today we aim for the Khogno Khan dunes, nicknamed the Little Gobi. The steppe winds carry sand to the foot of Mount Khögnö Khan (6453 feet), forming a long strip of dunes about 50 miles long, called Elsen Tasarkhai (“fragmented dunes”). We'll get our fill of tracks and wild riding, as the end of the journey approaches.

We hit the road for Ulaanbaatar. We take a magnificent ribbon of asphalt crossing the desert plain, then the steppe. A last day of immersion in these grandiose landscapes. We arrive in the capital in the mid-afternoon. Transfer to the hotel.

Free day for those with a late flight. We enjoy the unique atmosphere of this capital, both rugged and welcoming. Ulaanbaatar is a city that leaves no one indifferent. A taxi will pick you up at the hotel to take you directly to the airport.

This raid is reserved for experienced riders. It includes long stages far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our assistance vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Unstable telephone networks can occasionally make contact with emergency services difficult. As with any high-altitude itinerary, the quality of the roads and the difficulty of the route depend on weather conditions, both during and before the trip.
