Cappadocia: Journey through Earth and Sky

Cappadocia is all about landscapes. The plains are reminiscent of Mongolia. The Taurus mountains are reminiscent of the Atlas Mountains. The orchards are reminiscent of all Mediterranean countries. It's very beautiful. The food is good. Accommodation is average, but doesn't spoil the trip. But beware: this is a destination with a lot of off-road: 30 to 40% of the time spent on the bike. So on a Royal Enfield, personally I'm not a fan, but it's part of the trip?

I had studied the history of the Khan Mongolia as well the wildlife of the country before I embarked on this tour. The country far surpassed my expectations and to ride the steps that Chingiss had ridden centuries before was a real blast. The NO fences really took me by surprise and to be able to ride flat out across the plains was a real joy. Interaction with the local people and their animals was an excellent bonus. I was the only English speaker on our tour but this became not a problem as the comraderie from my other riders was a real joy. Tuk and his team really did go out of their way to make the trip work well for all of us. I had a fantastic time apart from a little mishap towards the end of the trip which was due to my exuberance in the ride. Well worth it, thank you.

I loved these 3 days, the off-road and the landscapes and panoramas of the Beaujolais region that I enjoyed discovering. I loved progressing on my Himalayan 7, and even with my falls I had a lot of fun riding off-road with a great group. ????? Only one small shortcoming: A bit of off-roading on Saturday afternoon would have been much appreciated. A big THANK YOU to Vintages Rides for allowing me to experience these memorable moments on a motorcycle....

This was a truly amazing experience and I really enjoyed the trip. The island is stunning with so much variety in the landscapes and terrain. The Vintage Rides experience was fantastic, very professionally run. The focus is on more than solely the ride, but connecting with the local culture which is personally why I choose VR. I personally would have liked a little more challenge and more off road - but this was a filmed trip and I understand the limitations.

The organisation was excellent. The hotels were very good. The absolute best aspect was riding with Deepak and being in his company. The landscape was amazing, the challenge to me of riding in the heat and altitude with nothing to eat and a 'bug' was very difficult. But I did it and I was very happy I did.
