See all reviewsItaly is on every rider’s bucket list: mountain passes, coastal roads high above the sea, hilltop villages and food worth every stop. Our motorcycle tour in Italy takes place in Sardinia: little traffic inland, narrow roads through granite mountains and cork oak forests, and dirt tracks running down to the sea.
You ride a Royal Enfield Himalayan with an English-speaking guide, a mechanic and a support vehicle for your luggage, in a small group of 10 motorcycles at most. Route, riding level and prices in detail on our Sardinia motorcycle tours page.
Sardinia packs what Italy offers motorcyclists into a small area: mountain roads, coastline and traditional villages, plus dirt tracks away from the traffic. There is no motorcycle to ship and no ferry to book: you fly into Olbia, usually with one connection in Europe, and the next morning your Royal Enfield is waiting. International flights are not included.
Spring and fall are the best seasons for a motorcycle trip in Italy: mild temperatures, in the 70s °F in Sardinia, and quiet roads, without the heat and the crowds of July and August. Our departures run in May, June, September and October.
Across the Adriatic, our Albania and northern Greece motorcycle tour starts in Thessaloniki. See also our Greece motorcycle tours in the Peloponnese and our Turkey motorcycle tours. All destinations: Europe motorcycle tours.
One tour, in Sardinia: 7 days and about 470 miles, from $2,290 per rider, with departures in May, June, September and October. All the details are on our Sardinia motorcycle tours page.
Not at the moment: in Italy, Sardinia is our only destination. The island combines mountain roads, coastline and dirt tracks in one week.
A Royal Enfield Himalayan, included in the price with fuel, spare parts and liability insurance. Bring your own helmet and riding gear.
Riders with some off-road experience: around 60% of the riding time is on dirt tracks, five to six hours a day. If you lack that experience, our off-road training courses in France will get you ready.
No. Our tour in Italy is fully guided: a guide leads the group, a mechanic rides with you and a support vehicle carries the luggage. We do not offer self-guided rentals in Italy.
