Coming from the U.S., Madagascar was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. I came in barely having read the itinerary, so half the time I didn’t know what we were getting into each day, but that honestly made it even better. Between the roads, landscapes, excursions, food, lodging, and people, the whole trip felt unreal. I travel a decent amount, especially for adventure trips like this one, and I came back home telling everyone this was the best vacation I’ve ever had. Worth the tears at the end. This motorcycle road trip was one of my most beautiful trips. The route is a perfect concentrate of magnificent landscapes, from the green high plateaus to the semi-desert canyons of Isalo, ending in style facing the ocean in Toliara, on road surfaces... that could bend a rim. But beyond the beauty of the landscapes, it is the richness of the encounters that makes this trip magical. Thanks to Reshad (spelled correctly, if not pronounced correctly), our tour leader, every break and every stage became an encounter with smiling children and welcoming villagers, turning the journey into a deeply human adventure. The "Mora Mora" philosophy touches you right in the heart. It takes a while to get over it, because back home everything seems dull and trivial.
