My husband and friends…

On the Roads of Ceylon
My husband and friends embarked me on this adventure, which turned out to be magnificent. It was a feast for the eyes (and the taste buds). I always had a smile on my face! For me, Sri Lanka by motorcycle was a trip full of emotions. Postcard landscapes, roads far from tourist traffic. Travelling by motorcycle is a different way of discovering the land, the locals with their magnificent smiles.... and the city traffic, which is impressive. Between scooters, motorcycles, tuc-tucs, buses, dogs, monkeys... you have to have your eyes everywhere and your heart in your mouth, especially as you're driving on the left. We were lucky enough to be accompanied by Johann, our guide. He's a no-nonsense guy, who's only interested in helping people discover this country, and in taking on some incredible trails and roads. A real adventure! Accompanying us were our driver Priyantha and our mechanic Ruwan, our guardian angels. An incredible human adventure, so much kindness. First road trip for me, a success. Thank you so much!

Merci Karine, On sent à travers tes mots toute l’intensité de cette première expérience à moto – et quel plaisir de savoir qu’elle a été à la hauteur ! On espère que ce premier road trip ne sera pas le dernier ! L’Équipe VR

We were led to expect around…

The Land of Maharajas
We were led to expect around 90% paved roads which turned out to be much less than this. This made for an over challenging and stressful experience riding two up. There was no tail end rider provided by the company. This made it difficult to keep the group together, particularly in the cities

The Big Crossing
It was a real eye-opener. Discovering India through its way of life, nature and landscapes. The different levels of people between cochine and channais.

Goa, Jungle & Ancient Wonders
An unforgettable journey! A total change of scenery! Emotional moments such as meeting the children of a school who sang for us, unexpected exchanges with a family waiting for their bus, and a young girl proudly introducing us to her family. Unforgettable!

Very good approach to India…

The Big Crossing
Very good approach to India on two wheels, for the atmosphere, the landscapes, the smells and the kindness of the people... Rajeev was there to reassure us, because driving on the left is a bit surprising at first, with lots of traffic: scooters motorcycles cars trucks buses and sometimes dogs cows goats. Coming to India is above all a human adventure, and you have to be prepared for this culture shock.
