First day of riding through the rolling landscapes of Greek Macedonia. You leave the hustle and bustle of Thessaloniki to gradually reach the mountains of the west of the country. Winding roads cross forests, agricultural valleys, and traditional villages before reaching Kastoria, a charming city built on a peninsula extending into the peaceful waters of Lake Orestiada. In the late afternoon, enjoy a stroll along the water and discover the authentic atmosphere of this region still preserved from mass tourism.

Head towards Albania for a stage rich in contrasts. After leaving the shores of Lake Kastoria, you cross the border and discover the mountainous landscapes of southern Albania. The roads wind between green valleys and isolated villages before reaching Gjirokastër, a jewel classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dominated by its imposing fortress, the "stone city" reveals its cobbled streets, Ottoman houses, and timeless atmosphere. A fascinating immersion in Albanian history and culture.

This short stage allows you to fully enjoy the landscapes of southern Albania. The road crosses the Vjosa valley, one of Europe's last great wild rivers, offering magnificent panoramas between mountains and fertile plains. You then reach Berat, nicknamed the "city of a thousand windows," also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dominated by its still-inhabited citadel, the city charms with its unique architecture, steep streets, and historic districts of Mangalem and Gorica.

You leave the historic landscapes of Berat to head east towards Albania. The road crosses a succession of hills, rural valleys, and authentic villages before reaching the preserved region of the Prespa Lakes. Located at the crossroads of Albania, Greece, and North Macedonia, this vast natural area is an exceptional refuge for wildlife and migratory birds. Settle in Lemos, a small Greek village nestled on the lake shore, where calm and serenity reign.

For this last day of motorcycling, you cross the mountainous landscapes of northern Greece. The roads alternate between forests, panoramic passes, and traditional villages offering superb views of the surrounding terrain. Return to Greece's second-largest city at the end of the day to share a final dinner and celebrate this adventure together, amidst the mountains, lakes, and historic cities of the Balkans.

There is little off-road on this tour, but the days are long and intense, with many miles of small winding roads: you should ride regularly and have good stamina. It is not suited to beginners or occasional riders. Passengers welcome.

Some stages are far from medical facilities: first aid and transport to the nearest medical center rely mainly on our support vehicle, as helicopters and ambulances are rare, and phone coverage can be patchy. As on any adventure route, road conditions depend on the weather during and before the trip.
