On the agenda
Set off to discover this Italian paradise out of peak season. This is the perfect adventure for riders who love a challenge and want to practise accessible off-road riding. You’ll take tracks that cross Sardinia’s most beautiful national parks and follow your guide on winding roads between the sea and mountains. The variety of terrains will give you the perfect opportunity to hone your riding skills on all types of surfaces from rocky trails to sandy tracks along the seafront. We’ll stay at some authentic farmhouses, called Agriturismi, where you’ll meet warm-hearted, spontaneous, genuine locals. With contrasting landscapes at every turn, often between turquoise sea and rugged cliffs, you’ll want to savour every moment.

1/7 • Arrival in Olbia
Join our hotel in Tempio Pausania, located in the region of the famous Monte Limbara granite massif. Taxis can easily take you there from Olbia Airport (reservations can be made through our team). A full briefing with the expedition leader will take place in the early evening to prepare you for the adventure!
2/7 • Tempio Pausania – Cala Gonone
After enjoying a hearty breakfast with our hosts, we get familiar with our Himalayan bikes. We quickly dive into the adventure with an ascent to Monte Limbara, which dominates the region at 1,359 m (4,455 ft). Between fast tracks used in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and stops in authentic inland villages, we cross the Gallura region to reach the eastern coast and spend the night in Cala Gonone by the sea, at the gateway to Gennargentu National Park, home to the island’s highest peaks.

3/7 • Cala Gonone – Nurallao
Today we discover the diversity of Sardinia. In the morning, we leave behind the silvery reflections of the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Orosei and gradually head into the heart of Gennargentu National Park, with its steep cliffs and winding gorges. As we progress, you’ll be fascinated by this wild landscape, blending splendor and ruggedness. We then follow the peaks of the La Marmora mountain range with breathtaking viewpoints before descending into the valley and arriving in the charming village of Nurallao, where we spend the night.

4/7 • Nurallao – Riola Sardo
Today we leave Nurallao via rolling tracks through meadows and quickly reach the Gesturi plateau, renowned for its wildlife and flora reserve. After observing the herds of wild horses, we explore the trails of the Monte Arci State Forest before finally reaching the west coast of the island and the Sinis Peninsula. We enjoy this well-deserved break to admire the unparalleled panorama, visit the remains of a Phoenician colony, and stroll along the white sand beach of San Giovanni.

5/7 • Riola Sardo – Porto Torres
Today’s program is all about sea, sun, and adventure! Between white sand dunes and turquoise waters, we ride the sandy coastal track northward along Sardinia. In the morning, we head inland for a few hours to enjoy the cool shade of the oaks and strawberry trees of Monte Ferru, an incredible volcanic formation overlooking the coast. We then take the winding road north to Alghero and enter the Porto Conte Regional Park, undoubtedly one of the highlights of our adventure. We recommend taking the time to visit the majestic Neptune’s Grotto, a true karstic wonder of the island’s west coast and a Mediterranean gem.

6/7 • Porto Torres – Tempio Pausania
To conclude our island tour, we now head east to return to the starting point of our journey, the village of Tempio Pausania. This northern part of the island contrasts with what we’ve seen over the past days and reminds us of the St. Tropez coastline, with its private beaches and luxury villas. We soon return inland to experience the authenticity and raw beauty that define the island. Final tracks and trails through the Limbara mountain range lead us back to Tempio Pausania by the end of the day, where we enjoy the hospitality of our Sardinian hosts one last time.

7/7 • Departure from Tempio Pausania to Olbia Airport
Our adventure has come to an end. You return to the airport in the late morning to catch your flight (taxi reservations can be arranged by our team according to your schedule). End of services.

This intermediate adventure raid includes some long stages far from first aid. Primary assistance to reach the nearest medical center is mainly provided by our support vehicle, as means such as helicopters or ambulances are very rare. Unstable mobile networks can occasionally make contact with emergency services difficult.
